Gleam of Expectations.

Disease is to expect
because reality is always dull
Waste is to expectΒ
with results always dismal

Why do we build a house of cards
A touch, and all of it has to fall
Why expect and hurt ourselves
when reality takes its toll.

Why we look up at the stars
Hope to touch them and reach the moon?
Worthless, but still at times of hardships
Till the last moment expecting a boon.

But I say be affected by this disease
Cause one day these dreams will be fulfilled
when expectations will see bright light
Happiness be discounted, Sadness be billed.

I say expect, and keep expecting
because it is them who constitute a dream
So what if we cannot touch the stars?
We’ll shine someday alike its gleam.
